The draw is the water, and the water is also the challenge: indoor humidity off the lake runs high year-round, which is hard on trim and built-ins. Finish carpentry here has to be built for moisture first.
In Silver Beach, moisture-stable material and back-priming are not optional. We seal the backs and ends of trim, steer toward stable stock that will not swell, and gap for movement so a damp lake winter does not open up every joint. Window seats and built-ins that take advantage of the lake views are popular, and we build those to handle the humidity so they hold up where cheaper work would not.
